    I'm trying to get Allfix to autocreate message areas in EleBBS (a good RemoteAccess clone), but nothing I do will make it happen.

    Any advice?

    allfix and MESSAGE areas? somehow i don't think so... i know there was talk of allfix doing messages and files but i've never seen a version that did...

    Sorry about that, I meant it will not autocreate FILES bases. PLUS, I keep getting a "password" error. How's about contacting me via private email with the correct password. cwgordon@carolina.rr.com

    That idea was one of Harald's last ideas, which proved to be way to complex to impliment, so it was dropped.

    At this time, Allfix will not do this. Message processing was planned for the original 6.x release, but talking with Bob regarding this, we have decided to not persue the mail tossing, and still to only tossing files.

    Bill Your best bet to get autocreate would be to Use Fastecho as your
    tosser for elebbs , I run it and it auto creates the Message areas
    For my Ele In Jam format only thing I really have to do is for
    different networks is i have to go in a change the Network it is
    assigned to on each message area it creates that is not fidonet
    I have no issues with my Allfix 5.3 Creating a Message in each
    message base I choose for the File announcements , but thats about it
    Fastecho would be the way to go , and Im getting pretty good at
    setting it up

    Yep I was using fastecho to auto create the echos , However
    You still have to use the elconfig in ele to set the message echos to the propper group and node number when it auto creates them , because by default it will use the fidonet number
