• Allfix problems

From Kurt Weiske@1:218/700 to All on Wed Aug 31 17:59:00 2011

I'm running Allfix for DOS 6.022 under Windows XP in a VM, and get this
message at the end of what looks like normal processing.

    Invalid pointer operation, program aborted.
    Error address : 0000:0A10

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

I've played around with Allfix under WinXP some, and have seen the same errors. I believe it's throwing the error near program exit, as it seems to get its work done.

Should be safe to ignore it.

Thanks for letting me know -- yep, it seems to mostly run, but this is my
first time with ALLFIX and I'm not sure if there's any steps that it's not doing because it crashed.

Take what I say with a grain of salt, cuz I'm still learning it myself. :)

A windows version is in the works, but because of the way allfix was doing DOS calls, and to change them to windows calls to avoid the issues is time consuming.

I will take a look at that error, and see if I can at least clean up that pointer error.
