Not sure if this is a general thing for all other-nets but I was told that %rescan couldn't be done for FileFix/Mgr as it would prevent pollers from downloading several Gigabytes of data from the hub -
is this something that can be done on FidoNet? I would like to download all files from the past ~30 days or so.

This is possible but it depends on what software and setup your
link is using. Not all filefix's support %resend.

ummm... resend is not the same as rescan ;)

No it isn't.
But %resend is an option for some filefix's.
Mine in htick supports it, and I think Allfix supports
%resend also.
true but you have to know the name of the file you want to request to be re-sent... unlike %rescan which just sends everything from a certain point in time...
%RESEND [fileecho]:[filename]
Sorry if this isn't the right echo.

%RESEND [fileecho]:[filename]
To request that ALLFIX resend a certain file in a
specific fileecho. Wildcards may be used.

So:
%RESEND [fileecho]:*.*
Would have the effect of resending all files that the uplink has stored for [fileecho], similar to a %RESCAN?
