This makes the fourth message in one day. The last one I saw was
the one I posted on July 13.
That was the last one I saw for some time.
Iused to dial the Swishers' "Litterbox BBS" several times a day.
Now I only check this occasionally. Local echos have almost
totally ceased; they were nice because most posters were somewhat
local and had some idea of local issues and could occasionally meet
face to face.
I agree with you. I also note that most of my Facebook friends are local so I see them fairly frequently on the street.
For example, locally we have ARTPRIZE (http://www.artprize.org/)
occurring this week. Even though it is is a major local event, few
outside the area are even aware of it.
I promise to take a look. :-)
Similarly, how many in North America are aware of the August
Discovery Day in Whitehorse YK or the February Fur Rendezvous (http://www.furrondy.net/) in Anchorage AK?
There are moments that I think more Germans know about Discovery Day than I think North Americans do.

I'm going to have to take a look at Doc's Place. Right now I post using an Oracle VirtualBox running under Windows 7 and this is not ideal.
Take care,
