Well, if you lived in an old house like we do (1865 or something)
with 2 yellow lab puppies, 1 9yr. old black lab, and 4 feral
kitties, you might welcome it coming out of your nose Lol - you
know, clear the sinuses. :) eeeek :)

Indeed :) Well, in the cooking echo I posted the results of this
encounter with Aetna, not sure if you caught that. It's been shipped
to me, should be here tomorrow afternoon.
And didn't make it here until _yesterday_ <grin> Aetna has their own pharmacy that ships the drug.. and they are just so
effecient (not).
We just found out a serial killer was receiving a government pension and old age security payments whist incarcerated. Because his
room and board is payed
by us taxpayers, his "take home pay" is *all* gravy.
That is truly sick if true :(
I struggle with the solace that he is where he will die,
but this arse is in a
better income bracket than I am, being on a government
disability pension for
about as long as he has been locked up.
My understanding is that if one is incarcerated, one
doesn't receive those gov't checks... I could be wrong
though.

You are lucky. You have pets! Sure wish I could afford even a cat in the dar
apartment complex I'm living in for the present. Extra $300 deposit and an extra $50 PER MONTH rent for even a small pet! ARRRGH #^$!@%##^#&#!!!!
I want to go back home!!

I've read that that is a misquote, or more like a quote from some
big-wig at IBM, Wyse, or some such.
Actually, it was 640K. :)

Here, I just spent 10 of the last 48-hours in an emergency ward. Nice
I know what you mean. Unless you are in a life
threatening situation (heart attack, massive bleeding,
etc.) you won't get seen too quickly... unless they're not
real busy.
Over a 2 week period in June, I had 4 trips to an area Emergency
Room, and ended up having emergency kidney stone removal surgery.
Then, I had to spend the week afterwards in a recliner
chair at my Mom's place, because of a stint and catheter I
had to wear for a week. Already being fully disabled since
2004, that lack of movement (and sleep) made it
worse...but, I'd rather deal with arthritis pain, than a
kidney stone attack!!
Review the criminal that authorized the payments!
I sometimes wonder if the "Criminal Justice System" is
"where the criminal gets the justice".

There's a long line at that pharmacy!
haha I bet. The dogs messed up our debit card as well.. Aetna doesn't
use the 3 character security code on the backs of cards, that
some banks require, and of course my bank does require it... so the
bank put a freeze on my card because they saw three failed attempts
by the Aetna nitwits. Argh.. so after I got that straight
with our bank, Aetna says I can send a check.. My bank was
on the phone with their credit card services division for
about an hour while I was "holding", so I was being told
the status of stuff <g> Only to find out from the aetna

software hahahahahaha I almost told them to let me write
them a new program <g>

This *is* in Canadia, you realize? "There is a review

the criminal that authorized the payments!
Ah.. Canada :) Well, NOW I do <grin>. And here I thought
you were lucky (NOT) enough to be covered by U.S. Health
Insurance.. bah humbug..
I think the "big picture" criminal is responsible for issuing repeated "Important Updates To Your Credit Card" statements, and discovering yet *another* way to bleed the masses. Reparation is a policy I would like to see implemented, but how does that work with a war criminal? (Worse examples intentionally omitted.) Capital punishment seems hollow to me. (But that's not the topic of this echo. Sorry mod.)

One recently adopted long-haired domestic cat, and I get enough hairballs coming from the back of *my* throat! Thanks anyway. <ROTF> I still have to

Bottom line, is the Aetna nitwit *you were talking to*, has no chance to make
it work automatically.
Compounding the problem, their IT department likely has
more interns than people who know what they are doing. The tip of that iceberg
is in the boardroom who pee themselves a little every time they erect another hurdle for a claimant.
Long story. Surgery on Thursday. Pain on Friday. Surgeon called me unprompted.
"Well, the pain would have to be an eight for me to even notice over my preexisting condition." bla-bla-bla... Still bleeding a six-days later, and
yes, they had no bed for me, so I was back in surgery exactly a week later. Al
told, I was standing in an emergency ward for fourteen hours that week. (Preexisting condition makes sitting next to impossible.)

Latest I heard, this arse is preparing to sue the government to resume
payments! After we just finished paying a former prime minister (Capitalizatio >omitted deliberately) something like $14-Million for falsely accusing him of a
pay-back scheme that it turns out he *was* guilty of, I'm wondering if your
pay-to-stay-alive system might not be so bad. But most of my health trouble ha
been iatrogenic in nature,
so besides three set broken bones in a hospital,
(the rest were home-remedied) I'd have been better off staying home.

Don't give it a second thought. What follows are my three unwritten
rules for any echo I moderate:
1. No discussion about politics
2. No discussion about religion
3. No bad language or personal attacks.
I am flexible on all but the last one.

My doc sent in the paperwork required. The insurance company
rejected the claim.
Did you expect anything else? <g>
hahahaha.. at least it's good for a laugh <grin>
[snip]
I'm sure the whole thing is going to boil down to delay, delay,
delay.. and their hope that if they reject the claim most patients
won't go to the trouble I did in calling them, and my Dr.'s office.
Everyone connected with insurance companies should be
sent to a concentration
camp in Siberia for life. (Hopefully a _very_ short one at that.)

paid a $40.00 copay.. and of course Aetna's rep tried to

$50.00 :)
Ah well.. it better work after all this nonsense <vbg>

Thanks. I like to keep things simple.
Thanks. I like to keep things simple.
Simple and fairly standard.
But religion and politics make for like 85% of the conversations in the world. What will we talk about?

That's scary.. You wonder about the 'do no harm'..
hehe.. "pay to stay alive".. Great term for the nonsense that is called insurance in the USA <grin>. I submitted another claim for
physical therapy my neurolgist ordered .. The bill is for
over $450. While it's covered under our plan, the bill
went to my deductible. So we have to pay it. What a lark.
It's not enough that the ampyra cost is $1100/month, why
would they apply that to my deductible. They might have to
pay for something <grin>
