    Forgive me for chopping the post, but I suppose it will save your voice synth/braille "whack-a-mole" the excercise. <grins> The article mentioned a headphone jack on an ATM, which I had never heard of, but that's the extent
    of ignorance.

    For a prof, couldn't they port in their own laptop to this podium system? I know that you just forwarded the post and have no first hand knowledge of
    the setup, but I'm looking for some enlightenment.

    SOme have them, few around here <bummer> WHen displaced
    after Katrina the atm at Wells Fargo bank near my temporary
    motel home in SAn Antone had one. Loved it! I could use an ATM without sighted assistance.

    I assume that unless you interact with the podium's controls it won't accept signals from your laptop. I understood
    those comments to indicate that the profs provide their own
    laptops, but must still interact with the podium gizmo.

    Best I can tell anyway.
