So I'm wondering how I can share messages between curten bbs's with out
going over fidonet? Lets say I have a classifyeds message base on my
board and I want to share that message base with my friends board but
not with the rest of the fidonet? I guess what I'm trying to say is
there a way to share message bases between a select number of boards
that you want.

Yes, just create an area tag for the area and connect the nodes you
want connected and away you go.

Another alternative would be to setup a QWK network if your BBS
software supports that. Far easier than setting up a FTN network in
many respects.

The best infopack I know of is the one for fsxNet, which is fairly
active. You can find more information and the infopack at https://bbs.nz/#fsxNet
