Old GNU Zoo memory albums. ;-)

    Life's good.

    Got me to thinkin'...

Awhile back I set this gal up with her very first laptop... she
/needed/ one for school too -- physical therapy/massage. Nice
little Dell Inspiron. Did all her updates for her, un-bloated it,
bumped up her RAM, tweaked 'er a little, and then set up 2 user
accounts (one limited one for her, and anther admin account which
she had password to). And then, after all my good work..., one
night about 6 months ago she left it out in the parking lot on
top her car. By the time she remembered, someone else had already
walked off with it. Imagine that! The gal ended up replacing
that one with the cheapest fukin' HP (or whatever) that Walmart
sells. IIRC... she paid about $400 for it. What a piece of
shit that thing was... 1.0 GHZ Dual-Core AMD, 2Gb o' RAM (not
expandable), DVD (player only), no VGA port, and only 1 USB
    port....

I think the reason I said what I said earlier (besides not
readin' the description closer) was because, for that kind of
money, I expected the see the same crap computer /my/ gal got.
Btw, that's not a /conscious/ indictment of, nor comment on, your
computer shopping abilities, Charlie. I knows better.... ;)))

Anyway, glad she's happy with it, CC. Good show....!!
