  • synchronet 3.20d lord 4.06 win7pro32

    I thought i'd try installing my first real door and try lord since it looked easy and lots of bbss has it installed. well I must be missing something or something. I've been working on it the last 3 days and get mostly errors. the wiki seems to be just different enough that it doesn't quite match what is in the same stuff in synchro 3.20d. do i need to install some dosbox or something else? I dunno what to do please help me

    On 32-bit Windows, dosbox or anything else is not needed. Just Windows (32-bit) is all you need. See also:

    Thanks I got it working I didn't have this
    You must have a copy of SBBSEXEC.DLL (from your Synchronet exec directory) in your Windows System32 folder.

    You must have a copy of SBBSEXEC.DLL (from your Synchronet exec directory) in your Windows System32 folder.

    Cool. You're welcome. The Windows installer for Synchronet v3.x should have copied that file there for you, however. Did you not use the installer?

    Yes and the Synchronet installer requires admin privileges to run.

    i did run the installer not sure what happened my tradewars server didn't bang the 3 first games correctly either ie didn't make directories where they should be. no idea where they were either but a rebang fixed them. now on to figuring out why my web server when i press connect to bbs gives me a black screen.
