Check out the US 99 menu above for links to information about US Highway 99, after which the US 99 BBS is named.
Be sure to click on the Amateur Radio menu item above for packet BBSes, packet software, packet organizations, as well as packet how-to's. Also included is links to local and some not-so-local Amateur Radio Clubs.
Consider this scenario: you are stuck behind a merciless filter and BBS is y only coms with the outside world. Assuming you have Win10 and you can only u non-http services/ports like telnet and ftp, what software would you have to have? Could you do everything you need to do this way?
Think of it like a desert island scenario, or as if you got suddenly transported to the early 90s (with a Win10 laptop). What software, bare minimum, do you have to have to survive?
I pose the question this way to get some input on the best tools as I am getting familiar with this scene after being gone 26 years.

I used FTP to send a REP packet I made with MultiMail DOS and
FTP to get a QWK packet to read new mail from this BBS when my
XPbox had DSL.
Used a BATch file to start a FRP script for either way..
Just thought I would open my big mouth about what I have done
on XP ( notWin10) Ed
