I am always looking for a cheap way of home WiFi and networking. I switch over now and I am using the google Mesh. Grabbed 3 units and set them up. NOw I have a 8T USB drive that I want to gain access to withing my home network. What do I need to make this happen?

Set up a Raspberry Pi to be a server, and plug all your external drives into it. There is documentation at raspberrypi.org. Search for web server. Then you can view all your files from any device anywhere at anytime.
