My Moniotor for my C128 is on the blink! I need to find an easy and cheap way to get video on my PC Monitor in 80 columns from my C128. Any suggestions?

I rarely use 80 column mode.
So I use a cable with a small switch where you can switch between 40 column mode and black and white 80 column mode on my normal TV.
RGBI has a composite signal, but it is B/W only.

Works for the 5 times I used 80 column mode ... but you loose the color.

That would make it a little hard to work on my C128 BBS. It runs in 80
column mode. No color would make it hard to make color changes.

    Indeed.
So that B/W cable is a good fit for me, a bad fit for you.
I have also seen quite expensive converters that convert the RGBI signal to a color RGB signal.
    But it is quit expensive.

I still looking for a plug-n-play 80 column converter that I can use on my C128
and my PC Flatscreen monitor. I have seen some that you have to build. I am looking for plug and play. Anyone?

I don't know of any myself, but Captain Sulu from System One BBS uses one he got on eBay, and Jazzy J from Bayou BBS also uses one also. Not sure if these will work in 80 column mode but it's worth looking into..
