Check out the US 99 menu above for links to information about US Highway 99, after which the US 99 BBS is named.
Be sure to click on the Amateur Radio menu item above for packet BBSes, packet software, packet organizations, as well as packet how-to's. Also included is links to local and some not-so-local Amateur Radio Clubs.
My next purchase is a SD2IEC. I think I may have better luck trying to get a C-Net BBS up and running on the real hardware, but I
have just 2 1541 drives. Using a SD2IEC adapter will allow me to have
the room for a proper BBS. When I look, most re made over seas and will take some some to get here. Some of the reading on them state some draw backs. Like thin wires or electrical tape used to wrap things up.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Pickup a uIEC/SD from Jim Brain.. I have one and run one of my BBS' on it with little to no issues, I have it partitioned into 12 partitions
everyone
says no more than 140 or so megs per partition I have 4 gigs per partition and the BBS runs fine my last partition is like 12 gigs of a 32 gig sd card..
Just google Jim Brain ..

Thanks, Now that I have C-Net64 emulated, I want to try it on my C64 and my RS232 WiFi modem. I will need more space than just a 1541 drive!

You will like the uIEC/sd if you go that way, unfortunately it doesn't
come
with a case but it is definitely worth it..

Great.. One thing did you check to see if your board is socketed?? If not you
have to have the JiffyDos that solders into your board.. I never checked
my
board before I ordered it and guess what it was useless to me.. Jim was
good
about it he was willing to give me my money back on it but I didn't want
it I
told him to throw the money towards a ZoomFloppy which was a great investment...
I checked before I ordered, mine is in a socket and can be swapped. Just have to put the little hole in the case for the switch. I need to get some switches also for my 1541's and install them to toggle the drv# hardware.
My next purchase is a SD2IEC.
